Deep Photographer — keep one scene between the lamp, the flight, and the predator
Deep Photographer
Raising the lamp sends a creature inside the new beam one station toward the dark, on the right of the screen, and draws the predator one station toward the lamp. Lowering the lamp leaves the creature where it is and only the predator steps back into the dark. The shutter keeps that one scene when the creature stands on the mark, the lamp matches the scene, and the predator is outside the beam.
Stations count from 1 at the lamp on the left toward the right. Brightness 2 lights only stations 1 and 2. Brightness 0 leaves the trench dark. Q lowers the lamp and E raises it. F is the shutter, V changes the view, Esc pauses. This boat has no attack. Changing the view leaves the creature and the lamp as they are.

How to play
Raising the lamp makes a creature inside the new beam flee one station toward the dark, on the right of the screen, and the predator steps one station toward the lamp. Lowering the lamp leaves the creature on its station and only the predator steps back into the dark. The shutter keeps that one scene when the creature is on the mark, the lamp equals the brightness that scene needs, and the predator is outside the beam. A shutter with the wrong lamp, a creature off the mark, or a predator inside the beam misses. If the predator crosses the creature or shares its station, the scene is lost. Step 8 without keeping it loses. The view button does not change the creature or the lamp. Screen-right is the dark end of the trench.
Origin & history
Deep Photographer is an original OIYO puzzle: there is no attack, and one scene is kept from the lamp, the creature's flight, and the predator's approach. Four scenes were checked by hand; a seed picks one. It uses no map or audio from another game.
FAQ
Does the same seed always build the same scene?
Yes. The seed picks one of four scenes that were checked ahead of time. The creature is not moved again every frame, so a shared address is the same puzzle.
