One-Screen Kingdom — raising lowers the east neighbor one story

One-Screen Kingdom

Raising lets the marked plot take one story from the plot to its east, and that east plot drops by one. Walking moves only the mark one plot east, and the east end returns to the west end. The kingdom does not grow. Match the heights and the mark to the row above.

1 or R raises, 2 or W walks. V changes the view, Esc pauses. The left of the screen is west, and numbers start at 1. Changing the view leaves the heights where they are. This kingdom stays on this screen and is not saved on the device.

How to play

The left of the screen is west, and plot numbers start at 1. The upper row is the mark and the lower row is the kingdom. Raising lets only the marked plot take one story from the plot to its east, and that east plot drops by one. Walking moves only the mark one plot east, and the east end returns to the west end. A raise with no story to take is not a step. Matching the heights and the mark to the upper row wins. Missing it within 8 acts loses. The view button does not move a story. This kingdom stays on the screen and is not saved on the device.

Origin & history

One-Screen Kingdom is an original OIYO puzzle: the realm does not grow. Raising one plot lowers the plot to its east by one story. Four kingdoms were checked by hand; a seed picks one. It uses no map or audio from another game.

FAQ

Does the same seed always build the same kingdom?

Yes. The seed picks one of four kingdoms that were checked ahead of time. The stories are not moved again every frame, so a shared address is the same kingdom.
