How to play
The top pair is the standard. The three rows below are the candidates, and the ring marks the seat to answer. ■ is filled and · is empty. Hire fits a gap of at most one cell, hold fits a gap of exactly one, and reject fits a gap of at least one.
Detailed rules
- 1.Today's interview comes from the Korea Standard Time date. The same day has the same candidates.
- 2.Hire, hold, and reject are each used once in an interview. The buttons do not give the reason.
- 3.Hire flips both cells of the standard. Reject flips only the cells the candidate filled. Hold leaves the standard.
- 4.Always hiring the closest seat, always holding when hold fits, or always rejecting first does not clear all three interviews.
- 5.Running out of time loses too. Inputs are not sent to a server.
Origin & history
Monster Interview is a daily interview moved only by hire, hold, and reject. Hire flips both cells of the standard, and reject slides the standard by the candidate's filled cells. The order is not written down ahead of time.
FAQ
Does hiring the closest candidate always win?
No. Hire flips the standard, so the answer that fitted the next candidate can close.
Does holding whenever hold fits win?
No. Some interviews open the next seat only if the standard flips or slides.
