Dream Elevator — the object you carry writes the next floor

Dream Elevator

The object in your hand writes the next floor's dream. You climb on only when that dream matches the floor's seal.

Up and down are floors, not the camera. Turning the view leaves the buttons as they are. E swaps your hand with the landing. V changes the view, Esc pauses.

How to play

Riding up writes the stone, mote, or clock in your hand as that floor's dream: gravity, shrinking, or stillness. Empty hands do not open the door. You climb onward only when the dream matches the seal. Riding down does not rewrite a dream already written. You may swap your hand with the relic on that floor. Stepping onto the top floor while the relic in hand matches its seal wins. Step 12 without that loses. The view button does not change the floors or the relics.

Origin & history

Dream Elevator is an original OIYO puzzle: the object in your hand writes the next floor's dream. Four shafts were checked by hand; a seed picks one. It uses no map or audio from another game.

FAQ

Does the same seed always build the same dream?

Yes. The seed picks one of four shafts that were checked ahead of time. The shaft is not reshuffled every frame, so a shared address is the same puzzle.
