Number Tiles

Drag tiles into lines. Empty your hand first to win.

How to play

Select tiles and lay a group or a run. The first meld needs 30 points from tiles that leave your hand, and you cannot rearrange the table before that. After you open, you may split a line and build again. Drawing is the other choice.

Detailed rules

  1. 1.There are 106 tiles: four colors, 1 through 13, two copies each, plus two star wild tiles. Each seat starts with 14.
  2. 2.A group is three or four tiles of the same number in different colors. A run is three or more of one color in order. 13 does not continue with 1.
  3. 3.A star fills a missing color or number. If one printed number plus stars can be read both ways, it scores as the printed number unless you mark the line as a run.
  4. 4.The first meld counts only tiles that leave your hand and needs 30 points. Tiles already on the table stay put. After you open, you may rearrange, but every table tile remains, every line stays legal, and you add at least one tile from your hand.
  5. 5.Emptying your hand wins. With an empty pool, a draw is a pass. When every seat has passed, the lowest hand total wins. A star in hand counts 30 and a number counts its face. An equal total is a draw.

Origin & history

Number Tiles is a tile rummy: collect one number, or continue one color. The four color names and the star wild tile are OIYO's. It does not use another product's tile art or name.

FAQ

Does the same Korean date deal the same table?

The daily table uses the Korea Standard Time date as its seed. It has one opponent, the adept search, and no hint or undo. A match uses a new seed.

Can the table be rearranged before 30 points?

No. The first meld only lays new lines from your hand. Only after you open can you detach an end or lift a whole line and build again.
