Brick Breaker — Free Breakout Arcade Game
Move with touch, mouse, or ← → keys; press Space to launch.
How to play
Move the paddle with your finger or mouse to bounce the ball; clear all the bricks to reach the next level. You lose a life if the ball drops below the paddle. Hitting the ball near the paddle's edge angles it more sharply, letting you aim.
Origin & history
Brick Breaker descends from Atari's 1976 'Breakout' and the paddle-ball-brick genre later popularized by 'Arkanoid'.
FAQ
How do I control the ball's direction?
The angle depends on where the ball hits the paddle: center sends it nearly straight up, while the edges send it off at a sharper sideways angle.
What changes as levels go up?
Each level makes the ball faster, adds more rows of bricks, and slightly shrinks the paddle for a tougher challenge.
